From innovative Assignments and a well-organized gradebook, we've spent the last few months creating the tools you need to have a memorable learning experience.

The first day jitters are behind you and your students have begun to settle in It's time to concentrate on the core of your coursework. This is why we've created a option to ensure that everything is going smoothly and according to plan.

This is the most recent update for Courses: built-in content dripping!

Like a well-planned plan, our latest drip feature for course content ensures that your students are getting their instruction precisely when they need them, exactly when they need the lessons.

No more overwhelming students with too much information in one go or having students run away. Dripping allows you to present your information in small chunks that are manageable and keep your students interested and looking forward to what's next.

This new feature will continue to grow with your requirements and makes it simpler than ever to structure and control your online course content.

What exactly is Course Content Dripping?

Everyone has had those times... in which you've watched a whole television show in just one weekend, then staying up the whole night flipping through page after page of a novel, or suddenly realizing that you've finished off a full sleeve of biscuits... entirely by yourself ().

When we indulge in something that is enjoyable, it might be appealing at first but it can leave us with a feeling of being unfulfilled.

Learning can be the same way. If students absorb too much information in a short amount of time It can cause:

  • Anxiety: Worrying they missed an important thing or have made mistakes.
  • Remorse: Wishing they had taken more time to fully grasp the subject.
  • Doubt: Questioning if they truly grasped the content.
  • The Overwhelm Overloaded by all the information you need at one time.

They're not the kind of feelings you want your students to have after completing your course.

That's where course content dripping comes in!

Instead of giving your students everything in one go, teaching drips let you distribute content at a timed, well-timed pace. This method allows them to be patient with every class, remain engaged and absorb information better.

What Differences Does Content Dripping Bring to Your Class?

1. Build Knowledge one step at a time

Instead of allowing students access to all content at once, dripping releases each lesson or module according to a set arrangement, helping them develop their understanding gradually.

This step-by-step method helps students to feel a sense progress and achievement as they move through the program.

Think about your lesson as a literal staircase, with each step being an entirely new concept. It is essential that students master the first step before moving onto the next. They must have a solid understanding of fundamental concepts before they can tackle more advanced ideas.

2. Keep Students Interested and Engaged

Students are informed that new content is coming often, it creates excitement and curiosity. This anticipation keeps them engaged and they're waiting for the next lesson or module.

They get used to making time aside for each new lesson, which makes it more likely that they'll remain in the loop and remain committed to the course from start until the end.

3. Create Content Just at the Right Moment

Course content dripping gives the full freedom to choose when and how your lessons are released, aligning them perfectly to your class program.

If you're trying to introduce a difficult concept that needs a little extra attention or gearing up to tackle a major project that will take longer Content dripping lets you to adjust the delivery of your material to meet the requirements of your students as well as the class goals.

4. Help Everyone learn at the same pace

Dripping course content can be an effective way to keep everyone's students progressing with a regular pace making sure that nobody is advancing too fast or falls behind.

When you release content at scheduled intervals, you can create an atmosphere of education that's cohesive, in which everyone is advancing in a coordinated manner.

Furthermore, since everyone is studying together, you are able to quickly identify the areas in which students may require additional help, and ensure no one is left out in the cold.

5. Help to Make Learning meaningful and manageable

The learning process should be one that students can enjoy, not a stressful experience. When all course material is presented at once this can cause excessive stress and anxiety.

Dripping course content offers an easier learning experience for students with lessons delivered in smaller, manageable portions.

Instead of feeling pressured to grasp everything at once learners can process the information in a relaxed rate, thereby making the process of learning more individual and attainable.

In separating the content it also provides moments of achievement for your students as they master each step. It helps to maintain the students' enthusiasm, and keep their interest in the learning process.

Course Dripping can be a very effective technique that helps keep your students motivated, focused, and on track. It's a simple yet powerful method of changing the way you deliver your classes, making learning an enjoyable experience for all those involved.

NEW Built-in Course Content Dripping: Simplifying The Rules of Courses

Making sure that course content drips was once a bit of a chore, involving numerous steps and configurations. It got the job done and was effective, but let's be real this wasn't an effective method of doing it.

We realized the need for a efficient solution, and so we've integrated our Rules feature directly into the Courses add-on. The process of setting up your drip schedules is much easier and more user-friendly.

Thanks to the built-in drip feature, you are able to create drip schedules with no need to quit the builder for curriculum. This not only saves you time but also ensures that the materials you use for your courses will be protected and released in accordance with the plan.

Additionally, you can modify drip notifications within the settings. This makes it easy to notify your students on what time the next version of the content will be available. This helps keep everyone on the same page.

With our attention to the technical aspects, we've freed you up to focus on what really matters: creating top-notch courses.

How do I Set-Up Course Content Dripping within the Courses

If your students are hurrying ahead, consider organizing your course content so that it keeps students on track and engaged with the lesson in front of them.

Like we said a while ago, Courses utilizes Rules to power content dripping.

That being said: Any drip setting that is applied by Rules will conflict with the integrated dripping settings in your course setting.

So...

  • To provide a simplified and easy experience If you wish for your courses to automatically drip content according to an established schedule (like the release of new lessons every week) the new built-in drip feature is the most efficient alternative. It makes it easier to manage and provides a reliable supply without requiring any additional configuration.
  • To have more control that is personalized: If you need the flexibility to release content in irregular or extremely customized intervals, using Rules gives you that control. But, it takes some more time and effort to set up additional Rules.

Stay Simple: Let's get your Drip Content flowing smoothly!

In order to set up the course Dripping of content, begin by switching your course's "Enable Dripping" option in your course's configurations.

After that, you'll need to specify how the content will drip - by the section or for each article. You may also choose the frequency (daily week, daily or monthly) and select the start day and time zone of each content release:
