Motion graphics . The CreativeMindClass Blog
What's your story?
"My Name is Sylvia Boomer Yang. I'm an illustrator, animator and GIF artist based in Brooklyn, New York. As part of my job as an artist I design animations, motion graphics and storyboards for explainers, video series and apps. What I enjoy doing on the side is to make fun and quirky animations and stickers that can make anyone smile and help them communicate their ideas."

"I have a family in Taiwan and began attending fine art school as a child. I always enjoyed drawing, but slowly I got stuck in a strict education style. I felt like I could not express my personal style and personality using the conventional methods of art. Learning about fine art has certainly helped me establish the base for where I am today."

"I went into design college in my college and moved to New York for grad school. That's when I began experimenting with digital animations as well as animation. Animation provided me with the ability to blend animation and motion to tell stories through a fluid manner. I really enjoyed discovering how to transform still images into motion."

What are the most important factors for creating animated graphic?
"I love to work with the sense of humor and emotional energy that helps people feel at ease, while exploring different media as well as creating an original aesthetic. Making designs can be a lot of enjoyable!"

"Collaboration/teamwork is one of the keys I evaluate a lot. I enjoy how people generate ideas in the team. I also think that the best work is usually created by a team comprised of individuals with diverse strengths and skills.
The day-to-day life of I'm always creating new things that make me feel inspired. When not designing, or creating motion graphics, I can be found making a mess in the kitchen (lots cook!) and creating crafts. I often travel to Brooklyn farmers markets , and play on various food items at the kitchen table at. There is a world full of magical things, I love traveling and exploring different cultures, new communities, and innovative artwork."
