Motion graphics - The CreativeMindClass Blog
What is your background?
"My moniker is Sylvia Boomer Yang. I'm an illustrator, animator and GIF artist based in Brooklyn, New York. In my work as a professional I design motion graphics, animated illustrations and storyboards for explainers videos and applications. But what I really like to do in my spare time is make funny and fun animations and stickers that make people smile, and allow them to be themselves."

"I have a family in Taiwan and started with fine art school in my early years. I always enjoyed drawing, however, I was eventually stifled in a strict education method. I was feeling like I could not express my personality and voice through the classical methods in art. Learning about fine art has certainly helped me establish the base for where I am today."

"I changed to design in college and moved in New York for grad school. It was then that I began to experiment with digital animations as well as animation. Animation provided me with the ability to blend illustrations and motion in order to tell a story through a fluid manner. I really enjoyed learning how I could transform still images into motion."

"Collaboration/teamwork is one of the keys I evaluate a lot. I enjoy how people come up with ideas as a team. I also think that great work usually is built by a group that has different strengths and skill sets.
The day-to-day life of I'm not going to stop making items that inspire me. When not designing or making motion graphics, I can find myself making messy mess around the house (lots cook!) as well as making craft projects. I frequently visit Brooklyn farmers markets and experiment on various food items at my home. There is a world full of amazing things. I am a sucker exploring diverse communities, cultures as well as innovative art."
