When Jeremy Cohen was 15 year old, an unexpected trip with his family to Yellowstone National Park unexpectedly sparked his passion for photography.
"My dad bought me a digital camera point-and-shoot," Jeremy shared with . "My sister began taking photographs with it. I thought they looked amazing, so I decided to try it out. I shot a number of nature photos, and it inspired me to take the film photography class at my high school , as an elective after I arrived back home."
The initial desire to document the world around him set the tone for his career as a professional photographer. From the Quarantine Roof Culture collection through his daily Today I Photographed project, Jeremy went on to make use of his camera to "uplift and amplify untold depictions of the human condition." And people noticed: Jeremy has built an audience of over a million people on social media and is even able to build a successful freelance career.
The ability to work from home with a website
That strategy paid off: "I started to get employed for a few small jobs but then worked my way up to finally work full-time as a photographer freelance."
"I have many uses for my site ," Jeremy says. "It's my main website for visitors to look through the absolute top of my work, no matter if it's my personal work, clients work, or miscellaneous images."
The creation of a website is also a way to build the trust of freelancers. "In my experience," Jeremy says, "a solid website is imperative to photographers for their clients to take them seriously."
