Five Reasons to Join Our New Slack Community Five Reasons to Join Our New Slack Community: A global SaaS leaders •
The version that's The TL;DR version of this article is as follows:
- We just launched a newly-created (free!) Slack community: Global SaaS Leaders.
- The program is open to the leaders of established SaaS as well as software companies (including founders! ).
We're excited to launch a no-cost Slack community
Because communities are amazing!
No, seriously.
There are a lot of other SaaS as well as software communities available. Some of them are fantastic.
When we began to think about how we could create the community that we'dlike to be part of, we realized that there was an opportunity to create something entirely new.
To that end, we have created Global SaaS Leaders as a space with five unique qualities:
1. Global Perspective
There were many SaaS and software community that were U.S.-based or focused on a particular location.
Global SaaS Leaders will be distinct. It could be located within the U.S., but our clients and the larger SaaS community span all over the world..
If we create our own communities, we'll also be mindful of establishing a broad membership as well as a global view.
2. Created for the top executives from well-established software and SaaS companies.
Some of the most intriguing software discussions that we could find on the web were about beginning the fresh SaaS service:

Discussions like this are valuable for those trying to start building an SaaS.
At the end of the day, we discovered that it's extremely difficult to get useful discussions with the heads of long-standing Software and SaaS firms.
It's the reason we've chosen to build the community of SaaS people who are thinking of scaling and growing an established software business instead of creating minimally viable products or getting seed-stage financing.
If you're a life-long entrepreneur that has an unfunded SaaS that is currently earning 10,000 dollars each month, we'd love to help you connect with other entrepreneurs similar to you.
The same applies in the case of the director of development of a venture-backed business that is just crossing the $10 million mark annually.
This will be the focus during Global SaaS Leaders creating a forum that you are able to discuss the challenges unique to your particular business after you've achieved the level of market-fit for your product and then begin to scale.
3. Professionally moderated
It is the work of a committed and experienced moderator (or group of moderators!) to build a positive, open and welcoming environment in the group.
We've learned a lot from watching the Reddit community, r/entrepreneur as an example.
However, even communities that are reputable like these struggle in times of concentration. It's interesting that the top thread in the past year was not even the. highest-ranked thread over the past year was one that was combative on the ways that cryptocurrency is consuming the streams:

Katie Stephan and Nathan Collier (authors of this post!) is the initial moderation team when we start the Global SaaS Leaders community.
More than 10 years being in the business of moderating online communities, with thousands of members.
and the creation and launch of the community is a element of our job descriptions.
Our conversation will stay devoted towards SaaS as well as software. We'll be sure you're not faced with unwanted offers, spam and personal threats. Any form of trolling.
4. Does not mean that it is solely focused on funding or venture capital rounds.
What ever your particular situation is, we don't care. Bootstrapped, venture-funded, private equity purchased, or some other ownership structure.
World SaaS Leaders won't focus on funding rounds or exit strategies.
We hope instead to set up a forum where participants can participate in discussions about hiring, revenue and profit tools and pricing strategies, technological infrastructure, and anything else that could contribute to the growth of a profitable software company.
It's fine for the members to occasionally have discussions on the financing. It shouldn't be the the only topic of discussion.
5. The largest and most helpful SaaS Software community online
Certain online communities can be dangerous locations.
Whoever you are, wherever you're from and where it is, we'd like that you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and engaging in our community.
Katie me and Katie are going to do everything we can to create and foster a supportive and positive society in this brand new one. Also, we will not tolerate the individual's attacks, bigotry the discrimination of sexuality, racism or any other form of unacceptable conduct.
Our aim is no more than to build the most supportive SaaS and software-based community on the internet.
