What would you say about your style?
It's somewhere in between stylized and realistic illustration. I tend to use aqua and muted color palettes and generally work with organic, flowing shapes. I believe that my "style" as a fantasy illustration artist is heavily dictated by the colors I use as well as the subjects that I decide to paint but not always what it is painted. I used to work using a much more straight-line style but I've recently moved to a looser and more expressive style.

What's the secret in creating your drawings of fantasy art?
Sweating over them until it appears to be closest to what I see it in my head (within reasons, else I'd spend months on a single painting). It's my goal to push my shapes and not settle for just a poor picture. I'd prefer to take a long amount of time to get the fantasy illustration right instead of rushing through it.

How can viewers see the fantasy drawings you've created?
I'll be participating in the coming "Oceans and Currents" exhibition on display at Gallery Nucleus during July! In the meantime, you can find me via Instagram. Prints are available for sale in my online store Bandcamp if anyone would be in the market!
Also, I have a YouTube and Bandcamp for people who want to know more about my music since I'll be releasing more songs very soon.

Brigitte's Background
I graduated at my school, the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I work currently in the field of entertainment art as an illustrator and concept artist. Additionally, I am working on a creative project known as Pearl Farm that I make illustrations. I also write and sing original songs.
The illustrations for the article come of my own project Pearl Farm. This is my story that I wrote and follows a travelling musician called Vinny and her pet ray Hubble as they make their way across the planet called"the Lofty Coastline.
