Colored Pencil Flowers CreativeMindClass Blog
If I could pick just one word to represent my drawing style, it would be 'Spring'.
I'd like for people to view my drawings and feel they are blooming themselves, like a warm spring of blooming flowers.
Cottagecore is the life style I choose and value. The reason might be that I live in Seoul the largest city in Korea, so I admire the natural beauty and rural lifestyle much more than what I see every day.
In lieu of spreading intensity rather, I try to convey a serene and peaceful mood as I do in the natural world.
What's the most important thing to making your illustrations?
The first thing I'd like is to discuss the things that I take inspiring in. I find joy even in the smallest of things. Flowers I see in a garden or the whispers of a flower fluttering when the wind blows or even a tiny blossom at the corner of a street I see as I walk.
My work is mostly in the style of small wildflowers. Landscapes that are natural from botanical encyclopedias as well as rural landscapes can also be a source of sources of inspiration. I keep a large amount of content through pictures and usually take notes of coloring pencil concepts.
Let's discuss the technique of work. I sketch to the degree of intricate details, like actual flowers. I also communicate my thoughts with colors.
I use pointed colored pencils to precisely express the shape of the bloom. It is then set with a gentle and warm mood by making use of pastel tones instead of intense hues.
It is also my preference to put simple and rough paper by using the technique of paper flowers to create an impression of blooming flowers.
Rather than simply drawing I feel that making flower designs on paper creates a more beautiful atmosphere. It's a more precise translation of my imagination.
My name's Yeo Jin. I'm a colored pencil artist illustrator and writer based in Seoul. My work is based on flowers as they always bring me happiness!
My publications include six color pencil-related tutorials. I also have collaborated with brands for illustrations. I currently give lectures to new drawing students and am also making products that can be sold in stores online and in local shops.
I have my colorful pencil art on Instagram as well as on my website.
I'd like to present my YouTube channel. My vlogs revolve around travel but also have various travel-related drawings and inspirations (mostly drawn with colored pencils) that I draw during my travels.
