Collage collages of art CreativeMindClass Blog : CreativeMindClass Blog
The other day I had the opportunity to catch Olga sharing stories on Instagram about my home town that I grew up in. The urban forest of Warsaw is an under-appreciated, sacred green zone. I'd like to visit it during the summer time to admire the stunning pine trees, and catch a breath of fresh air into my urban lung. In her story, Olga visited this area on her first trip, however she was also fascinated by one of the oldest gardens in Warsaw. And I bet that soon she'll be painting a Boernerowo inspired painting.

We wanted to know from Olga which elements she relies on as the base for creating minimalist collages, along with painting landscapes that are human-shaped.
"My moniker is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm living in Warsaw. Since the age of a youngster I've been painting and drawing plenty. I attended an art school in high school. I was a student of Painting and the Cultural Studies in the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm an illustrator and painter and graphic designer. My work is a examine the interaction between nature and humans and pay close attention to the ways we create nature in our own backyards. When I look at hedges that have been trimmed, decorative plants, and well-designed home gardens I'm capturing the beauty and mystery of the surroundings around us."

"For many years, I've also been creating minimalist collages. The collages are made in the form of landscapes as well as still-life, or are developed as a outcome of my experiments with shapes, textures along with colors.

My style is diverse since collage and painting are quite different. But, there is something in common They both are able to relax. I've heard "soothing" from my audience numerous times, and I believe it is the best description of my art. If I am tired of creating art, I design collages. And reverse. A certain style can be an opportunity to temporarily escape that one.

I believe that being aware is vital. I pay attention to everything I observe, which includes the architecture, environment and objects. This is evident in my art. My works can't feel the presence of a human being, but it is possible to feel the presence of human presence in trimmed hedges or in the mug placed on the table in the kitchen."
