I talked to Lisa together with Leo Laporte, the husband-and-wife team behind the TWiT podcasting company on how to build a an audience dedicated to your brand that they would really want to watch your commercials.
"When we started our journey in the beginning, we had the aim of building an exclusive group of individuals that had a genuine love for technology. One of the questions is"Where's the tech that's not there? !" Smiles Lisa Laporte the chief executive director of TWiT. "It's totally evolved." Podcasting's social component resulted in the realization that the business was seen as an "logical growth" of TWiT's main mission to improve the quality of existence. It was this aspect which resulted in the realization that Lisa was intrigued by new media.
The couple worked as a podcast duo for the last 16 years prior to the outbreak, which started in the year 2020. "Those many years that we were isolated," Lisa explains. "We were all confined to small Zoom boxes. Yet there was a customer base that values and is happy to be part of the community." TWiT was forced to find how to better communicate with its clients in this time of isolation.
Lisa had a conversation in a meeting with one of the major patrons of TWiT the tech-focused training platform ITPro.TV about ways of giving an amount back to those who have supported it. "Simply enough," ITPro.TV allowed its users to join in the chat room and remain in the chat room for around one hour after dark. At times, players would play games while others just talk," Lisa continues. "I thought to myself"That's my dream that I'd like achieving.' I would like my customers to be able to visit and hang out.
Lisa states that an alternate option of adding the Discord server in their membership offerings can provide "a richer experience" rather than simply establishing the Discord server as an online community. "It was time for us to offer our members an the benefit of an extra advantage, and our members were bored with being forced to lock themselves into their homes." Club TWiT was all set to set off.
From the world of content, to the cruise of Club TWiT
Lisa clarifies the issue. Lisa clarifies she explains that TWiT group encourages participants to participate in this group's events in the most efficient manner. They solicit feedback from their shows and also holding regularly scheduled Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions. Additionally, they can provide an area where people can just meet and interact with other people. Lisa and Leo have also used Club TWiT to premiere and explore new programs; when shows start to get noticed, they may become part of the premium Club TWiT offering or become an advertising-supported service. If this occurs, Lisa will approach the host of the show, and invite him to play with their ads. After that, the show's toolbox will be added and begin to contact sponsors. Each advertisement must be reviewed by the host so that it appears as an integrated and organic element of the show.
Sponsors have more success making sales than those who sell you.
An advertising strategy which benefits both the advertisers as well as listeners is essential for the effectiveness of TWiT "Our ads work since they have confidence in our customers in our products and services. There's a good chance there's a chance that Lisa, Leo, and others from TWiT could aren't the only people to see technological advancements as a topic that was primarily for the ardent enthusiast to its widespread status today. It's possible that they contributed to this change.
