The experience was one that strengthened my community in ways I didn't think of.
This is how our very initial retreat brought us closer, created lifelong connections, and

What is the reason for a retreat? Because creators need real-life connection
Soulcial Suite was built on the idea of connection and shared knowledge, but
there's only so much you can do with screens. I saw how hard everyone was
were working, the amount they gave them the organization, and frankly the amount they were burning
out. It was an ideal way to get away from the screens and actually
spend quality time with each and spend time together. I was looking for an environment where we can
Recharge, brainstorm and develop.
My aim was to create a space that everyone could feel truly loved and respected.
They were supported, they had the opportunity to be taught new techniques, and where collaboration felt
natural. It was my intention to create something that would remind them (and me) why we
began this journey from the very beginning.
Planning the retreat: curating an intentional experience
As I started planning the workshop, I realized that it couldn't just be a few workshops toss around
together. We could put our energy (and since we're being honest and honest, our the energy) in this, it
It was important to have a purpose. I planned for weeks every session, each event was to
ensure that everything served a purpose. From handpicking the location--a giant bright,
modern Airbnb in my hometown city of Charlotte, NC--to structuring the agenda
everything was chosen to spark those "a-ha!" moments and encourage the spirit of
connection.
The weekend started by taking an art class led by SkillPop it was an experience.
A beautiful method to break through the ice and get to the root of what makes us do the things we

Key moments that reconnected us
For a community like that of ours, sharing and collaboration experience are everything.
Thus, I created meetings where participants could freely be able to discuss their issues
and brainstorm solutions together. They weren't simply "networking"; they
The focus was on allowing each other to show up as real human beings, flawed. The
discussions we had--about discovering our voice, dealing with setbacks, celebrations
These were exactly the kinds of conversations I'd always hoped Soulcial Suite
It would be a good idea to encourage.
The most powerful parts was the small instances when we had just gotten to be
friends. After dinner on the weekend night of the retreat, we all got into our "Suite
Retreat" hoodies that I gifted them and our pajama pants and made s'mores by the
fire. Members were given the freedom to talk, chat, and just enjoy themselves. And do not forget to
me tell you, watching people laugh was all the motivation I needed

Impact on real life: how the retreat transformed our members

Final thoughts: the power of face-to–face interaction
Hosting this retreat reminded me of something vital the real-life connection.
The catalyst to a flourishing community. When creators have a space to work from, they can be
together, share openly to grow when the magic happens. Anyone who wants to get
