HTML0 Are you in search of new opportunities , and you want to find a new direction for your job.

Before I moved in London in 2017 I was employed in a small town in Germany where I worked within the realm of After Effects animator. I didn't face many obstacles with my imagination, however my abilities deteriorated rapidly and I was very unsatisfied.

Transitioning into London and getting to know everyone from the amazing animation community gave me a massive positivity boost to my energy levels. I thought "Damn that! Now I'm in the top group of young people . I've better get my gear going."

Following my experiences in the Pictoplasma Exhibition, I made the decision to enter the creative group of creators of characters. My characters are best developed through 3D but I'm still learning and it's challenging, but rewarding!

My work has been recognized from Greenhouse Animation, who is currently my director.

Lemonade Insurance approached me to make a piece to coincide with the ongoing Instagram partnership of artists. The mission of the company is to act as an insurance firm in relation to the create content. The idea of adorable household objects at risk instantly was in the mind. It's how the X-Files concept came into being.

It was the winter season , and I was taking an unplanned interruption from The X-Files. Thus, the idea of an alien abduction, which was traditional in nature appeared natural. The only problem was that each participant needed to be at the same place within the same spot in order to make sure that the loop could be stopped so they would not be captured. After that, I came up with the idea of having the washing machine in operation as well as an sock in pink that was flying towards the UFO.

As I created UFOs and making their legs shorter, I was amazed by the way things would fall. The UFO was unable to find its shoes and is currently locating the shoes!

I have found that writing an entertaining story works best when you combine elements that might appear not in the beginning. Events that are not planned and unexpectedly seeing things occur and also giving unanimated objects an identity by putting silly faces on the objects can be entertaining for me!

The Lemonade cover is set for 2021.

The process for animation

My process always begins by sketching out the characters, and then sketching out the plot. I created this animated to help market Lemonade in order to convey the idea and help with timing. As the animation progresses, I will be able access Cinema 4D and model all my characters. It's also an ideal time to try on fabrics and designing frames.

When the animation inside Cinema 4D is done, I transfer it to After Effects for final touches as well as creating. The light beam in pink is an example. It could also be created using After Effects.

A few tips I'd like give to anyone looking to switch directions:

  1. Choose the method that you are most passionate about, and you'll learn the method! Motion design can appear as if you must learn everything. That's just not feasible.
  2. Your uniqueness should be taken very seriously, and you should never compromise the distinctiveness of your character. Your personality is distinct. Your manner of speaking, voice and appearance are distinct.
  3. Consider your ideas. If something is going on within your head, make a note of the thoughts and take notes on your thoughts!
