An illustrator for books, Soosh, talks about her work in fairytales.
When I was searching for Soosh to write this piece thoroughly, I came across her videos. If you've ever seen her work, you'll notice that it's like an old fairytale is reborn. In addition, she adds her voice as a part of tales, she creates an all-encompassing experience in which her fairytale characters come to life. Keep reading but make sure you check out her YouTube channel and sip a cup of hot tea and prepare yourself to enjoy a fairytale-themed evening.
We asked Soosh about the key to capturing the little daily moments in her artwork
"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was born and raised in the company of people. I identify myself with no nation, race, religion, or anything else. I spend my time observing people and myself and analyzing the details of everything. It's not an easy path. that's why I've not chosen it in advance, but I am in the path. When it comes to the traditional art school I don't have any.

Though I'm aware there are different ways of drawing and painting that can be described as styles, I've never really given much thought as to what kind that my drawing would fit into. If I were to come up with a word to define it, it's an "fairytale realist" type of style. But speaking frankly, no style.
The key, as I understand it is to look with your heart as much as with your eyes. It might take some repetition to be able to see the little aspects, as with every other skill. It is important to be still for a while and completely present in the present moment. Take note of what you are doing. Observe closely, without haste.
My primary obsession has always been with individuals. Their expressions on their faces as well as their imitations of their actions, their gestures kind acts, as well as the flaws they exhibit - all it is so fascinating and interesting to me. After that, it's the matter of a couple of pencils and some watercolour to dive into and bring life to those daily pictures in a paper."
